App Tester Remote / Contract · Occasional Paid Assignments
Join our flexible tester pool to test web applications and installed Android/iOS apps across IBrandBiz and other designated projects, potentially including NookRental, LOOK and UOK. Assignments depend on product needs and your available devices; you do not need every device type.
Responsibilities Follow assignment instructions for installation, updates, sign-in and core workflows on designated web, Android or iOS apps. Where relevant, check permissions, notifications, saving, error recovery and background behavior. Check navigation, validation, loading states and responsive behavior on the devices specified for the assignment. Record issues with reproduction steps, expected and actual behavior, device model, OS version, browser details where applicable, and screenshots or recordings. Complete the agreed feedback and retesting within the assignment scope, even when no bugs are found. Qualifications Careful observation, patience, and a methodical approach to testing. Comfort using web applications or installed mobile apps on your available devices. Every device type is not required. Ability to describe problems clearly and distinguish expected from actual behavior. Reliable communication, internet access, and the ability to follow test instructions. No formal QA background is required; relevant experience is a plus. Helpful experience Experience testing web applications, installed Android/iOS apps or mobile-browser experiences. Familiarity with bug-tracking tools, browser developer tools, or structured test cases. Experience with creative software, business dashboards, or AI-assisted tools. Assignments & compensation Assignments are offered as needed across IBrandBiz and other designated projects, with no guaranteed weekly hours or ongoing work. Before acceptance, each assignment specifies the product, tasks, required devices, estimated time, deadline, payment amount and payment schedule. You may accept or decline individual assignments. Payment covers completing the agreed testing and feedback, including when no bugs are found. Planned light-testing engagement: $10 per tester per week for approximately 20–30 minutes TOTAL per week, including required feedback. The planned engagement runs for six weeks covering three apps, with $60 total per tester for completing all six weeks. This is the planned light-testing engagement, not a universal rate for all app-testing assignments. No start date or immediate placement is promised. More extensive QA, detailed NookRental booking-flow testing, or work exceeding the light-testing scope requires a separately agreed scope and payment. Applications Resume or a brief relevant-experience summary; a cover letter is optional. Available computer and phone/tablet models, operating systems and versions, and browsers available for testing.
